Should be a fine as well since in the regular season, players would have to default on salary as well.

NHL radio today was saying "time served" or "1 game max". They wonder why the NHL has trouble moving forward.

1 game for the cross check and 1 game for whatever the heck that presser was.

Had Benn owned it, maybe he only gets one extra game.

Barn Burner were suggesting that something this dumb in this important of a game is grounds for losing the captaincy.

And I agree. It's becoming Robertson/Heiskenen's team.

That was closer to the Bertuzzi incident than any 2 game suspension infraction I've seen.

Something like that is way more dangerous than any fight. They need to take stuff like that out of hockey, and that starts with suspensions that have teeth.

NHL are, and always will be (at least until the current gen of boomer cronies dies off), cowards.

Fixed

The NHLPA should be advocating for players that are injuried by plays that aren't with in the confines of hockey

It's basically a conflict of interest as the union is fighting the discipline on behalf of the player so when he gets only two games it's a win for the union at the same time a loss for the union as the act was extremely dangerous and something that they ideally would want to ensure doesn't happen again to another union member and the best way to accomplish that is via fines and suspensions.

Except it's a conflict of interest for every union that has existed when there is a workplace investigation between two members of that union. This isn't some wildly unique scenario amongst unions generally - it just has more publicity than most.

The Knights hit the early jackpot, 1-0 Las Vegas.

The PA doesn’t have a say in what fines or suspensions are handed out by the league or when, aside from certain limits that have been negotiated in the CBA.

If the league wants to try and get rid of this crap they can easily do so by increasing the penalties. So long as whatever policy they institute isn’t unreasonably arbitrary in nature the PA would have a really hard time fighting it in court since workplace safety almost always wins the argument.

ESPN broadcast has the corner cameras with their microphone audio at full blast. So when the camera cuts down low, or shows the crowd from those cameras, it jumps up like 30 db. Such a weird choice.

HRobertson scored the tying goal on the power play in the first period. Back and forth play in the second period.

Dallas dominating the 2nd, then a dumb penalty haults the momentum.

Wow what a shift. I mean, Eichel should have scored on the breakaway, but man they just worked like crazy there.

And yeah, Eichel's no McDavid on the breakaway, but look at him control the puck, use his body and make a great pass out of the corner there....
