Too bad for Makar -- watching the video it looks like he's bracing/expecting further contact, versus trying to sneak in an obviously late hit (it looks like he didn't even try to "finish" the hit). If the Kraken player doesn't go awkwardly into the boards, it probably ends up being a scrum and both players skate away. But because there was an injury 1 game seems reasonable.

Remember, this is the guy who actually declined a penalty once because he didn't get tripped.

He thought the trip was intentional when it really was just incidental clipping of the blades....his temper helped his team to surrender a goal. Not a great look.
