Isn't that YA (Young Adult)?

Or is YO a sub-genre of YA? (Young Occult?)

In my world it stands for Youth Offender(which, to be clear. stands for a youth that offends, not a Priest or R Kelly)

It’s not too late. Just buy when it gets to its lowest (you should know when, if you’re a skilled and intelligent investor - it’s not luck, dammit, you have to really understand which of Elon’s tweets will really have the most negative impact on the stock) and then sell when it’s high (you will have to know this too - again, it’s not about being lucky, you need to figure out when Elon is going to make a wildly inaccurate claim about his self-driving features, and be ready to sell).

Or have the banks been funding them already.

A report from a coalition of environmental groups shows that Royal Bank of Canada was the biggest fossil fuel financier in the world last year after providing over $42 billion US in funding.

According to the data, Scotiabank ranked ninth globally last year with $29.5 billion US in funding and TD was just behind it at about $29 billion US, while Bank of Montreal ranked 15th and CIBC 16th at $19.3 billion US and $17.9 billion US respectively.

Collectively, the big five Canadian banks doled out almost $140 billion US to fossil fuel developments last year.

After a few weeks reprieve, it looks like First Republic is being taken over by the FDIC. At least this time they made it to Friday so they have a weekend to fix things up.

That's generally what they try to do, is wait for the close of business on Friday and try to get things settled over the weekend. First Republic just didn't have the assets that they could pledge for the FDIC program, so they were stuck.

I wonder whether they'll make uninsured depositors take a haircut here.

Because that would include the $30B they already strongarmed the other banks into depositing.

It's okay apparently Jim Cramer said the failure of First Republic Bank could mark the end of the banking crisis.

Thank goodness!

I read that JP morgan has something like 3 trillion in deposits now. That seems like a totally reasonable thing to happen. Mhmm.

This is good, weed out the weak. Here in Canada we only have a handful of banks, that are all healthy. The US has thousands, some failing. Ergo, do what Canada does. Oligopolies FTW.
