United win tomorrow they're right back in it. Teams will be looking over their shoulder.

The only irrational part is where you don't apply the same conclusion to your team.

Apparently your wins at home to bottom half clubs count as "someone decent" but Arsenal's away win at Palace + home win over Leicester don't.
That's where you show your homerism.

Arsenal have already won 2 fixtures that are objectively more difficult than your 2 victories.
If you want to dismiss them, you have to dismiss your easier wins too.
It’s not just me being a homer though. Last year we took 0 points from those fixtures and this year we got 7. I’m using the performance of the team last year as a measuring stick. It’s not perfect, but it’s fairly objective.

Here's hoping Fulham can pull off the upset this Saturday at Emrites. I don't know if I can stand to hear my boss tell me any more how this is Arsenal's year. Felt great sending him a photo of me giving Emrites the middle finger last year though.
Arsenal have had an easier start to the year, but you still have to finish, which they are showing they can. I don't see them pulling away, but it's a hot start.

Everyone has had an easy start really.
Lets look at the wins so far from the traditional top 6 and last season's ranking of who they beat:

Arsenal: Palace (12), Leicester (8), Bournamouth (new)
Man City: Beat Bournamouth (new) and West Ham (7th)
Chelsea: Beat Everton (16)
Spurs: Beat Southhampton (15) and Wolves (10)
Liverpool & United: No One

City beating West Ham away is the difficult of the bunch on paper, and just ahead of Arsenal beating Leicester.
No one from this group has beat anyone noteworthy yet, so singling out Arsenal's wins alone as easy is nonsense.
Most of these teams have also dropped points to "easy" opponents.

There will be ups and downs to Arsenals season for sure, but the good start is a good start, not a lucky schedule.

Liverpool might struggle for top four if this is their midfield all season.

I'm surprised they're so defensively suspect too. Too bad Rashford is out of form still, that's a backline waiting to be exploited.

United have started really well but those last 10 minutes are worrying.

Too bad Bruno was denied such a great own goal, that would have been some unnecessary self sabotage.

Credit to United for a great start though. Should be a good 2nd half.

Well that wasn’t great. Man City might have an easy ride to the title this year.

Chris Sutton has taken over from Lauro on the BBC.

He predicted a 5-1 Liverpool win.

What time is the ten Hag sacking?

Good result. Even managed to rest Harry and got that dodgy Martinez fella in.

love that for ten Hag. Dropping Ronaldo, Maguire and Shaw for such a big game was a massive call and he got every single personal decision spot on. Absolutely chuffed for him, he needed that result after that poor start to the season. And they actually looked like a team today!

I couldn’t decide who to root for, but this is a good result. West Ham is rock bottom, which is great. United takes the pressure off the Glazers and ETH, and of course we should hear some great excuses from Klopp. Hard to too Tuchel and his “the coaches had to take the bus” excuse from this weekend, but I’m sure he’ll make a valiant effort.
