If you check the score, you'll see Nashville is winning by three goals. So they'll likely win. And if they win, they get two points. And because they are only one point back of Dallas, two points would put them in seventh place. The flames are the second seed. And in the first round, the second seed plays the seventh seed.
So Calgary vs Nashville will probably be the first round match up.

Don’t sleep on that Dallas / Colorado matchup. Although the Stars were outshot in all three head-to-head games this year, they won two of three (with Oettinger picking up both wins). I think this could go longer than 8 days…

If it is Nashville, I think we see very different games than Tuesday. The media and fans will be salivating expecting every game to be like that one, and my guess is none of them come close to that intensity, or maybe physical play.
That’s because my guess is the combination of Nashville collapsing more on defense to protect Rittich or the rookie, and the Flames scoring more goals early with Nashville chasing the game, will take out some of that intensity.
And, Nashville with try and draw penalties on Tkachuk and othes and thus try and win the games on special teams, as with Gud and Lucic popping helmets off last game, Nashville won’t try and match that physicality.

So both Dallas and Nashville choked against the Coyotes. The Stars salvaged a point which could be the difference.
What a pair of lousy teams.
