This is completely off topic, but does anyone know why Guy Chouinard retired at the age of 26, despite being a point per game player? Was it injuries?

The night before the road trip after the kiddies fell asleep and Mrs Looch became Mistress Looch.

He was demoted to the IHL .....I think he played some games and then opted to retire.

It sounded like the chants were… which aren’t very classy… you can be loud and passionate without being a dick. I think LA and SJ also do the “you suck” chant.

Knee I think.

He wasn't the fastest to begin with (even for that era).

One thing I learned tonight, the "Goalie, goalie, goalie, you suck it's all your fault" chant kinda loses its luster when you pronounce the goalies name wrong, haha

That’s why Sutter starts the backup here. He’s a genius.

Guy Chouinard was demoted to the minors when he was 28 years old in January 1985. He played 9 games (2G & 5A) but decided to retire. As far as I remember, it was not due to an injury but he didn't fit in the plans in St. Louis.

This? This is a desperate Nashville team against a back-up on a back to back night?
Go get them Flames.

If Tkachuk gets point #100 on Lindholm's 40th goal, who gets the puck?

The Blues were mired in the middle of the Ron Caron Era.

Years earlier, Chouinard had this to say in an interview:

Quote:
"My philosophy is simple. And that is that you fire all the ammunition you can for as long as you can. When you can no longer give your best and cannot help the team, then it's time to hang 'em up. You should always strive to be a rising star in whatever business you're involved in."

They look pretty good but we are hanging around. Flames have missed on 3 or 4 good chances tonight
