I don't know, 85 points and counting. I think the guy can do the finesse.

Tkachuk sits 7th in points league wide with 85... I guess he would be 1st if he had finesse

I am convinced that Tkachuck's attempt setup the Lindholm goal

watch how they play Gaudreau when he is behind the net, both defenders are hugging the post lol. Flames are so good at that slot pass the threat of a Michigan like goal (it was a modified attempt) will have teams guessing.

I love love love that they consistently test the goalie from every angle and with the Michigan/between the legs move out from beside the net. Keeps the goalies and d-men paranoid for sure.

The bravery to try anything makes them so dangerous

The need to always hug the post on whichever side they're grinding probably fatigues the goalie too.

Yeah, agreed. Some people (seemingly so in this market specifically) do seem to throw out “ugh I hate when Tkachuk gets cute”, but that’s part of his skill set. He scores doing “cute” stuff, but doing that “cute” stuff also changes how teams have to defend him. He’s got incredible hands, and making plays like he did last night (Lacrosse and also the between the leg) impact how the other team has to defend - and that can create space for other plays to occur in.

Tkachuk is a top-5 RW in the league. We should celebrate that.

Durzi ==d-o-u-c-h-e-y

Didn't know d-o-u-c-h-e is a bad word.

Durzi is a dollar store Doughty; all of the punk, none of the skill.
I thought the way he laid on the ice when Johnny pulled him down that he was paralyzed. Amazed he got up and kept yapping.

Being in LA and all you would think Durzi would be afforded better acting lessons.

Much more entertaining game last night than the prior match last week. Great pace, animosity, villainy (Durzi), playoff like intensity. The top line once again just doing their thing, Elias hits the 70 mark, Johnny on fire like Sutter said. Maybe the best game I’ve seen from him in quite a while along boards. Won plenty of puck battles and initiated contact.

Thought Chucky was fighting it, but think he was still instrumental to 2 of the goals. Several defenders converged to Tkachuk leaving Lindholm wide open in his office. Then on the game winner, Durzi bulldozes Tkachuk which actually took him right out of the play leaving Gaudreau completely wide open with the slick dangle. He didn’t get a point on that play, but he deserved one as Durzi would’ve prevented Gaudreau from finishing off the play.

Just a great game overall from the top line. Hopefully the rest of the lineup starts to contribute as well. Team is going to need more offensive punch come playoff time.

He was just asleep from Johnny’s sleeper WWE hold.

Then he got his elbow dislocated by Tkachuk and was able to go right back out there for the powerplay. The guy has bionic healing powers.
