Smith's triple at 12 should pretty much end it

Rory has a special talent to come up clutch when it doesn't matter.

Looked stymied by the trees, probably a 3 shot swing with the relief and fluky chip.

Conners finishes with back-to-back birdies to finish at -3. Really solid tourney.

Conners birdies 17 and 18 to finish at -3, likely a T-6

Random bit of info.
First time in over 50 years no eagles at the 15th.

Pushing the tees back and the weather likely are the reasons.

That was so fun to watch. Otherwise a pretty boring Sunday after hole 12. Smith made a run and then just collapsed. Oh well, that's golf.
I almost appreciate the sport more because unlike my conspiracy/true theories of other major sports artificially keeping games close ore even outright choosing certain markets to have advantages, golf is just shot by shot. Each one on it's own with no officiating to help or hinder.
The one pure pro sport on earth?

Interesting thought.
I find my patience growing thin for the officiating in all the other sports. Not sure if it's gotten worse or just my tolerance for it is plummeting. Tired of watching outcomes continuously effected by missed or terrible manufactured calls.
Golf is certainly refreshing that way.

Scheffler has pure ice in his veins
It's commendable, but also at the same time kind of boring. I like to see emotion after an amazing shot.

Tennis when Hawk-Eye technology is being used is pretty pure as well. Players can challenge on close line calls and in the COVID era line judges have been replaced by the Hawk-Eye technology. Clay tourneys remain the outlier.
/That said, match fixing remains a problem at the lower levels of tennis.
