Gerard Gallant must be a coaching wizard. Time after time he is at the helm of these motley crew teams of underdogs and every single time he manages to get the most out of them.

filthy moves Stecher, but great stuff from Mangi to set thing going and to pot the winner...

He's had a heck of a WC; it would be great to see him come back from this experience with loads of confidence similar to Iggy after he got on the ice with the Olympic team

When you have a chance to extend Virtanen, I mean you gotta do it, um, right?

Eat bread gets it done.

You can always count on a flame when needed. (Except in the NHL regular season or playoffs)

Good for canada for grinding their way into the semis.

That's a sick goal.

Just played it while having my coffee, and my 4 year old son could hear the announcers.

"Are the Flames playing?"

"No, Mangiapane is playing for team Canada."

"Go Ninjapane!"

One of the sickest dekes I’ve ever seen. Fake shot, two defenders bite on the block, backhand toe drag, off the left skate, to himself, holy ####.

It’s understandable that veterans who didn’t make the POs like, say Gio, don’t want to go. But this year a team that managed to corral a few really good young players would be taking the gold. Imagine if Stutzle said yes to Germany - he’d dominate. No Heiskenan, Laine, Risto, Kakko, etc for Finland

Gotta remember....they had to quarantine when they got there, live in a bubble while there, then quarantine again for 2 weeks when they get back.

Quite a commitment and good on those guys who did.

Mangiapane is such a stud. We had a lot of disappointing players this season, but Mangiapane never took a night off. Hope he's a Flame for many years to come.

Blackwell tied it at 1 in the first...

But Mangi just scored, 2-1!

He outmuscled a check behind the net for a loose puck, spun back for a wraparound chance but made a pass across instead, then finds the puck as it slides through towards the goal line.
