Bad giveaway, allows the pass on a 2 on 1, slides into the corner, and loses his man on the rebound because he was still out of position.
I haven’t seen it yet, but it sounds like that goal against earlier this season where he slid directly back into Markstrom and never bothered to get up while the chaos around him led to a goal against...except this time it featured corner time!

FFS - that’s who you are going to complain about on that play? Not Dube who put Hanifin in a bit of an awkward spot. Not Hanifin who messed up 3 times. Not Backlund who managed to slide right into Markstrom. A point blank shot yields a rebound that should have been cleared away by the centre.

Markstrom has really good rebound control.

So now Roger Sportsnet is going to force Flames fans to watch the ####ing Oilers give the Flames the middle finger by not showing up in a game against the team the Flames are chasing, not that the Flames are worth watching tonight!! Gawd I hate this bastard of a season!!!

Calm down friend

I could complain about the other guys too

Go panthers!

The flames are not interested in winning anything vs this sens group. It’s been all season like this: sens keep it close. Flames can’t string passes together. Our offence is perimeter based. We get a glimmer of hope only to be scored on sh again. This team is a dumpster fire. This leadership group is the inverse of leadership. And I don’t mean just the pretenders wearing letters. Flames need a president who knows how to win. No more nice guys. We need real direction. Treliving has to go. His core is so weak.

God it’s so sad that this is our team. I’d rather be the sens. At least they beat sassy entitled groups like ours :/

On the other side, Benny has never looked so happy. Flanked by duclair and Huberdeau scored his first and then mucks it up with a fight.

I agree the team isn't great, but they can still put in a better effort. Sens have beat them almost every time this season by just outworking them.

This is a sign of a bad team. They work or dont they still lose. Really lack of offensive talent. Too many Ahlers.
This goes back to the builder BT.

Terrible take... Markstrom is the last to blame of the six guys on the ice

At first I was upset. Then I realized that I can walk the dog early and go to bed early and I really like the thought of that. Crap, now it's back on. I should have moved quicker.

The rebound was right in front of him, the guys skate booted it the second it hit the ice.

It’s really not. Compared to, say, Rittich, Markstrom is great on rebounds. You just focus on the odd times when a non-ideal rebound does occur.

you could complain about the main culprits, but you don’t and it’s not hard to figure out why.

By top 5 backend, I hope you mean in the North division, not the league.

That was perfectly controlled and swatted to the slot on a fluke.
