the 3 seasons of Fargo were so great, none of the Calgary scenery even fazed me.
I agree they were awesome, but when I saw a guy getting murdered in the same parking garage I used everyday for work it took some of the dramatic tension out of it
the first game is set in Austin, Boston, Pittsburgh, Jackson, Denver and Salt Lake City.
From the license plates and newspaper boxes on all the Calgary street sets, the show itself changed it so it is set in Kansas city which Calgary and Edmonton is standing in for.
The Last of Us review: 'The best video game adaptation ever'
And yet, it doesn't feel even remotely controversial to call this the best video game adaptation ever made. For fans of the game, it is an adaptation of the utmost skill and reverence, yet one still capable of surprise; for people who have never picked up a controller, it is an encapsulation of the game's heart and soul – its full-blooded characters, its neat plotting, its mature themes of love and loss. It is, to finish Ellie's joke, "outstanding in its field".
HBO's 'The Last of Us' Review: The Greatest Video Game Adaptation Ever Made
HBO's The Last of Us is an absolute triumph, offering one of gaming's most intense and engaging narratives to TV viewers and revealing exciting new aspects of the universe to those who've played the games. It's beautifully written and the casting is flawless, with Pascal, Ramsey and their co-stars adding layers of emotional depth and unsettling moral grayness to every moment.
Amazing
HBO's The Last of Us is a stunning adaptation that should thrill newcomers and enrich those already familiar with Joel and Ellie's journey alike.
Actually, the first Mortal Kombat movie was a guilty pleasure of mine.
I'm torn about watching Last of Us. It is on my to-play list, but honestly, I may never get to it. I've got too many side projects that playing video games is way way down the list.
