Don't think I've ever seen that from him.
He did on that last burst off the wing, but of course when he has a step on the dman he stays wide and throws a prayer pass to the front of the net to nobody instead of continuing to skate and taking it hard to the net.

2 giveaways on his last 2 shifts from the same corner trying to pass it back to the point.

Need him to wake up and start playing with some purpose.

Lol some ridiculous takes on Monahan. He looks like he's engaged tonight carrying the puck with speed. He could take some chances at throwing the puck at the net rather than trying to make an extra play but he isn't an issue tonight. Both teams brought some pace tonight.

Monahan, Matt and Johnny were non existent except for their mistakes.

How do you have a chance if those 3 aren’t ready to win?

Yeah I noticed one of his minor league passes between the legs that didn't connect and he actually had a good chance early and made a shot attempt like he didn't even try to score that hit the goaltender in the crest. Maybe a demotion to the 4th line could wake him up as he's killing the 2nd line.

I just don't understand how we can start so poorly so often. We're not a bad team, but it takes us so much time to get going that it feels like we're almost always playing catch up.
I don't know if that's coaching, or just not having a few guys in the room that can get everyone fired up, or something else, but if we could consistently start strong, we would probably be a lot more dangerous.

Gallant took an expansion team to the Finals. Maybe he could take us past the first round.

Simon doing his thing on the first goal. Not really sure why he is in the lineup, let alone on the first line. 4th line looked good in the first, great chance by Ritchie and overall strong shifts.

Matt tried the old between the legs pass. In his own zone. It went nowhere.

Why do the coaches keep allowing him to make these minor league moves? It's infuriating how often he tries these moves given they rarely ever work.

I mean I agree with the regular stars being at fault but why not try a new coach I’m sure it couldn’t get worse honestly. Literally cannot see why not at this point. You’re either blowing it up or trying new coach eventually anyway.

My wife was in the room when they scored. She’s now going to read her book that’s due for her club. The winning shall begin.

Literally no one has that kind of willpower to give up French fries and ketchup for Lent.

Get out of here with that Marek.

Remember Ryan's first half of his first season? He started very slow and people complained about him.
New team, new city. This isn't a video game where you just plug it in and play. (Simon)

It's up to the team to play better as a whole. They got better as that period went along.

Yup, Dom Simon should be traded back to Pittsburgh. He literally does nothing for this roster. I've seen some glints of life in Leivo but so far the bargain bin forward signings have just sucked. That's about the only negative I have right now.

Ritchie has showed more in one shift than Simon has all year. It's that bad for me.
