Inappropriate? Certainly. Awesome? Absolutely.

Rieder is now tied with Bennett in points in just four more games.

Well that sort of sucks - not that the Gordie Howe is any way official or anything, but in both games Lucic had a goal, and a assist (or more) and a good tussle. Two very good games in a row for him.

Insane that Lucic has 5 points in these last two games.
Dude found the fountain of youth in the depths of Rogers Arena?

"Rogers Place." But most likely, yes.

Dammit.
It's confusing, because before it was "Rogers Arena" it was "GM Place" (And "Canada Place" for a short time in 2010).

Backlund is a different player back at C. Night and day. Too bad he doesn’t have the versatility to play W, but at least now we know. Keeping lindy on line 1 with backlund, tkachuk and mangia as line 2 is pretty good, I’d say

Honestly hated Rinaldo with a passion for a long time and was pretty iffy on having him come here, although recognized the need for some toughness, I always thought he was a head case.
He seems like a smart guy who would be an easy teammate to like. His comment about being embraced by this group of players when he hasn’t always felt that from other teams as an in/out guy hits home. Shows how much of an impact having good character in the room can have. Nice to hear the team is an inclusive group and it’s leaking into his play in a positive way. Maybe he was a head case before because he was being left on the outside of teams and was forcing his role a bit too much. Seems to be a good fit here.

He's like Hathaway. There is some sort of intangible that he brings that seems to make the team play better when he is in the lineup.

It didn't such in that he only sat two minutes in games where he was a big contributor (instead of at least 5).

Agreed, especially since he got at least one decent shot in during each of his non-fights.

Actually, in 2010 it was called "Canada Hockey Place", because Vancouver already has a "Canada Place" on the waterfront with the iconic 5-sails roof.

This is what I said in the GT last night:

Rinaldo is not really effective at 5v5. He has the worst Corsi on the team. His relative Corsi is -8.5%. When he's on the ice, the Flames only generate 41% of the shot attempts.
Bennett is a much more passable player at 5v5. He has the second-best Corsi on the team. His relative Corsi is +2.2%. When he's on the ice, the Flames generate 53% of the shot attempts.
I don't mind Rinaldo as a singular entity. I think he can provide a decent jolt of energy, and I like his shot and speed. But he should not be overused. Bennett is a much more capable option and should be in the lineup on a more consistent basis than Rinaldo.

It would be a shame if he found any fountain there, there would be something in his water
