Hopefully, but personally his rough patch looks like a player who's a step slower than last season. If that's the case it won't be a rough patch it'll be a decline that keeps going.
Not trying to negative, it's just the unfortunate reality of signing a guy until he's 40. We make the jokes about him lasting forever, but of course he will slow as he ages and with the quickness of NHL hockey these days, a lost step is often death.
There's a reason why guys who were decent or even star quality in their 20's aren't getting contract offers at 32+ anymore.
