McDavid wasn't really grimacing in pain...gotta think that's an MCL/ACL. Would be really interesting to see how he comes back from a proper ACL tear given his whole thing is speed.

It definitely wasn't dirty. He tripped him but it's not like he planned to steer McDavid into the post. McDavid could have just as easily collided with Smith causing in to both players.

Some nasty things being said about Gio on that other board right now. Of course no on wants to see McDavid hurt, but that was just a hockey play at high speed.

I'm actually surprised that doesn't happen more often with the way McDavid goes to the net. Hard to say what happened here -- Gio dove for the poke check but McDavid also had his hand on Gio's stick and obviously was not able to keep his balance after contact.



P.S. Goal number 22 for Chia$$on. You know what to do K. Gretzky...
