Ya agree I’m done with Brodie and Janko.

I think Janko is an NHLer. 4th Line C seems to be where he works best. He has enough skill to take advantage of other 4th liners but his hockey sense just isn't high enough (5 on 5)

Still panned out quite well for a project drafted out of highschool.

Hopefully he's got some development growth yet, but I see Dube taking that position at some point with his upside.

I love Rittich...but he’s a back up goalie at best.

Mike Smith won’t find a job in the NHL next year.

Goaltending is in a sad state of affairs. Baffling that it hasn’t been addressed.

Yeah he missed Palmieri coming in from his right.

I wish it could be coached out of both goalies. Just stay in the effing net. They've been burned too many times this season, Rittich and Smith. Both of them.

I don’t think it’s baffling at all. It’s very hard to address, it’s as simple as that.

He doesn't bring enough to be 4th line. He doesn't do anything unless he has a chance to be on a Two on One.

Could be as soon as next season.

The double standard on here is mind-boggling
He chipped to the middle, not to the boards. Part of the issue was he was on the "wrong" side. Puck protection is a lot easier with your stick on the board side.

Obviously the second goal was on Jankowski and Rittich.

Sharks and Jets tied 3-3 after two. Would be nice if the Jets could do us a favor tonight, but I'm not counting on it. Flames better win this one.

I also think Treliving didn't expect the Flames to be at the top of the league this year and wanted to give the kids another year to develop (hence Smith's term).

Yeah and let’s be honest, any goalie that was available was a marginal upgrade at best.

Evening all...

So, I missed the first period, but just saw the highlights. Is it safe to say we dominated the play overall, but the Devils capitalized on their handful of chances? Also, is it safe to say Brodie sucks again?

Rittich loses focus. He is great when he is facing the play, anticipates shots, breakaways etc. but falls asleep when the play is broken up. Explains those really late goals against in wins and the unexpected shots going in from odd angles or places.

Ryan Leslie is great.

That job is hard and he makes it look effortless.

Colour commentary could use some work but between ball and Leslie, great presentation.

How about a statement period where we score a goal or two and don’t make brutal mistakes?

What value does Brodie really add? He’s been terrible since Christmas. We have crazy depth on D. Use it and push him down.
