That period freaking sucked. Flames gotta pick it up, awful stuff.

End of the 1st. Shots 15-8 Canes.
Pretty sloppy, slow period for the Flames. Not their best period. Let the Canes dictate the play.
Just regroup and come out and play your game. Wouldn't be surprised to see 3M reunited, I forgot Chucky was even playing.

Half the flames look hung over, what a sloppy first period.

I figured Peters would try to have the boys up for this game seeing it's against his old team. He can't be happy with that period as the Canes thoroughly outworked and outplayed them.

Not an impressive period by the flames. Moreso by the Canes. It's weird they are so far behind in the playoff race as they seem to be a pretty good team.

Not the best period but the score could be worse. Mrazek has made a few nice saves, as has Rittich. Still anyone’s game at this point. Hopefully the boys figure it out and come out with a better effort in the 2nd.

Neal had a good chance but that was it. The issue with a guy like Neal with Backlund and Frolik is he isn't a very strong player on the cycle and possession. There are times when a winger should normally cycle back into the corner when his linemate is circling out from the corner with the puck. Sometimes Neal will just stand there and not move, waiting for the puck to.come to him rather than change position to cycle. No triangle movement at all.
I get that he is one that shoots from the slot but one of the strengths of Chucky being with backs is the cycle game.

Kylington is really impressing me. Tough decisions to be made when all the D are healthy.

Sloppy period.
Bouncing puck all over the place, and the Canes are rising advantage with their spin and shoot from everywhere strategy.
Frolik with the awful turnover on the goal against.

Meh. Tied and another 40 minutes to go. Maybe the Flames will now realize a team coached by Rod will never give up. He never did his whole career. Pull your pants up and get skating, Flames.

I don't think we should be overly critical of this game given the circumstances. Just hope they find another interesting and creative way to secure two.

Flames got outworked and yet should be up 3-1. Weird. Imagine how they'll look if they actually get some ozone time.
