So looks like we got Ryan and Czarnik.
Now if we could just get Neal and call it a day...

Neal is going to want longer term, and there will be lots of teams offering him such.

It'd be a beautiful Canada Day (rain and all) if we can sign The Real Deal and round out the roster.

Flames not done?

News Update

@fan960boomer
Flames may well not be done. Sniffing around some depth on D and further help up front.

Show me James Neal!

I don't know why we'd need more depth D; Andersson is already on the outside looking in.

At some point we have to let the depth we have get a chance too. It’s ultimately why Wotherspoon is going to be moving on because outside of that 15 game preview we gave him we’ve basically been dangling a carrot in front of his face for 4 years that he could never catch with the logjam of depth D we keep signing.

Andersson and Kylington are more than ripe for the NHL which can be a great thing too but it’s time to let them get their feet wet already.

Wotherspoon is moving on because he let Kulak jump him on the depth chart and now Andersson has too. Kylington and Valimaki are at the same level or going to leap frog him soon if they already havent.

He hasn't come into a camp and really wowed management, which is disappointing because he was the Flames best d prospect for about 5 years straight.

Yeah, Wotherspoon’s lack of success falls squarely on him if you ask me. It’s not because he wasn’t given a chance or because we had too many defenseman, it’s because he simply wasn’t good enough. Sucks he didn’t pan out but that’s the way most prospects end up.

I haven’t seen any rumors on players for the Oilers?
Are they just better at keeping these things secret?
Oh...
I get it now, few are willing to go there

Brodziak is the only player I have seen linked to them so far.

Judging by contracts being given out 6 5 mil for 4 years will be my guess.

But I also fully expect the Flames to make a few more trades.

Neal will get paid maybe more than 6.5 but he is worth it. True top 6 available i hope Stone is shipped out.

Michael Russo
@RussoHockey
25m
Hearing #mnwild will sign goalie Andrew Hammond to compete with Alex Stalock for the Wild backup/Iowa No. 1 spot

And, as I've previously reported, Greg Pateryn and Eric Fehr will be signing with the Wild

Michael Russo
@RussoHockey
Again, free-agent frameworks can't be finalized "technically" until after 11 a.m. CT, but Pateryn's expected to come in around 3 years at a shade under 7M.

Fehr's deal will be 1 year at around 1M

Looks like Pateryn, Hammond and Fehr to the Wild
