That's a lot of analysis, when I'm guessing they probably had one person from each territory respond. If I lived in the NWT, I'd probably hate people who lived in San Diego too!

Well that was fast. Not exactly what the Astros were looking for.

That had to be the fastest World Series game in a while. Kershaw was great, but the Astros still should be doing better than three hits. Need to find the offense quickly or this will be a quick series.

It was, I think they said the fastest since a Jays WS game in 92.

Not what I was hoping to see as an Astros fan. No base runners at all really. Not much to say other than a split coming out of LA would be a great result.

As an unbiased Giants fan, it is tempting for me to think the Dodgers might succeed in buying a championship. Their payroll is $40 M more than the Yankees and almost double that of the Astros.

How this Dodgers team was built:

https://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/w...-their-roster/

Like every team, the Dodgers were assembled through all sorts of different methods. They are not solely a product of their payroll, as Jonah Keri explained. No team is built exclusively through the draft, or trades, or free agency. It's not possible. Teams need to have success acquiring talent through every avenue available. The Dodgers have done exactly that. Let's look at how the 2017 Dodgers were built.

A lot of the trades were made because the Dodgers could take on salary. And also aren't hampered by dead money. Lots of money in those international signing too beyond salary.

Fun fact about the Dodgers is they are making 320 million dollars on a tv deal that gets an average of 78,000 viewers viewing their games. Ridiculously, the Dodgers are making $3,200 per average viewer per year for their tv contract. Granted, it has famously not been able to secure coverage outside of Charter, but even with full coverage, they wouldn't be able to hope for an average viewership over 200,000-300,000 which still pans out to $800 per average viewer.

It's a 25 year deal, so theoretically they should continue to get that money, but you have to wonder if that is really sustainable and they could all of a sudden be out most of that 320 m/year.

Fun emotional trip for both teams in the last 40 minutes.

I feel ill. I had a feeling that getting Gurriel home in the 10th would be important.

The team that wins this will be sky high. Loser crushed.

Well if the Astros lose now they'll never win another game again they'll be so emotionally crushed.

I hope the Dodgers tie it up so Springer can get the cycle. Fun game to watch now.

It’s like a slow pitch game in extra innings with these hits.
