I saw a chart posted on HF a while back (on draft day or soon after) that compared the two players offensive production in various situations, and Phillips numbers were better in most categories last season. Now keep in mind that although Phillips was drafted a year earlier, he's actually only about 4 months older than Yamamoto.

As someone who has seen them go head to head a bunch last season Phillips out played him head to head almost every time. I can't really comment on Yamamoto's entire season but he wasn't exactly Gaudreau when I watched him.

The gates have been open all week since parents have started dropping off kids for summer camp.

If the gates are closed at the bottom of the hill, you can still park in the lot on the SE side of the hall of fame and walk over. Beats going all the way around Sarcee through all the construction.

Nice pics.

Is Foo really skinny or does he just look that way next to burly Burke?

Stats comparable to other smaller WHL guys like Johnson, Ennis, Point, Weal, & Petan. Seems to produce no matter where he plays, and always seems to impress those people that watch him first hand.

Would be amazing if he could turn into a player for us.

I really look forward to these Dev Camp threads every year, they're some of my favourites. The updates, observations, and general fun comments from those who can watch and report are really appreciated!

Well he is skinny compared to the average beer leaguer. I don't look at him on the ice with the players and think he is small or skinny.

I was there snapping photos, but when I was actually paying attention to the players on the ice Parsons and Fischer stood out for me.

Are there any pics of him in a sleeveless shirt we can analyze ala Jankowski from last year?

Agreed, they're some of my faves as well, especially when I can't get down to watch, myself.

I have no idea if Matthew Phillips is ever going to make the NHL but man is he ever fun to watch. He's going to thrill fans at every level.
