I don't understand how Ferland gets no powerplay time. Brouwer on the ice at the end of the game is a head scratcher for me.

Why get angry?

I mean really, you're rage isn't going to telepathically beam down to Anaheim and perk up the boys.

Negative comments are fine, they're probably constructive, I can be as negative as anyone here, in fact, I would probably be the runner up in a world negativity championship if there was such a thing.

But some of the over the top stuff and the rage rants and the outright nastiness really comes across as ridiculous.

I'm convinced that while most fanbases celebrate their fandom Flames fans almost mourn their fandom.

As for the Flames, they're pro's who have been playing hockey for years decades even, I'm pretty sure that they're not high fiving each other and congratulating each other on keepin er close. We'll see if they're resilient on Saturday, and frankly this whole year has been about this team being extremely resilient.

The biggest thing that I can come out of this game with is that this team is capable of playing this Ducks team and competing with this ducks team.

The mental error on the line change and the dicipline issues are all things that don't need a training camp and 50 practices to fix.

Players like Hamilton and Johnny who had what I would consider to be poor games are elite level talents so there's a good chance of them bouncing back.

They could have had Mario Lemieux and Mike Bossy out on the 5 on 3 and it wouldn't matter with Brodie turning the puck over over and over.

Too many self inflicted wounds tonight. It was the bad penalties tonight from Hamilton/Bouma and the worst line change of the century that ultimately ended up costing this team the game. Ryan Getzlaf absolutey dominated us tonight and their depth is incredible.

Too many players who didn't step up their play and intensity and only a handful of players who actually showed up. We need a full team playing at their best if we even want a chance. I wouldn't mind Lazar entering the lineup as we know he isn't going to cheat on effort.

The Flames need to visit a hypnotherapist before next game. This team and arena are deeply imbeded in their heads.

Absolutely 100% this. They have looked good the last 2 games there and then conspired to beat themselves. There are always a few players that have horrendous games. Hamilton being one tonight. I honestly believe if we split there we're winning this series. Once that mental block of not being able to beat them in their building is over it will introduce the fear factor for the Ducks. Honestly this losing streak is pretty much unheard of in the NHL and the Ducks are absolutely milking that for what it's worth.

He wasn't terrible in the offensive zone, and that's what they needed at that point.

When you remove the homer glasses, you will realize how much inferior and weaker a team we are. On their best day, the Flames might match up with the Ducks on a average to poor day.

Obviously not. But the Ducks are a poor matchup for the Flames, and we're not being them 4 of 5 when two more of the games are in Anaheim.

Oh be real here, man. The Flames were never in this game. They might have believed they were and you might believe they were, but they were so overmatched it wasn't at all as close as the score. There is no moral victory here. You know who lives off moral victories? Oiler fans. Damned if I'm gonna be like them.

BS, tell that to the Ducks. They 100% believe they will beat the Flames no matter what, and the Flames don't believe they can win in Anaheim. You honestly think the players in the backs of their minds don't think about the losing streak?

If this team couldn't face adversity they would have mailed it in Oiler style in January. They didn't. They bucked up and won a record number of games to get back in it.

Some of the fans here are pathetic. This is a team that clawed its way back from the dead and a 3-2 loss has people giving up.

Ya they made mistakes tonight but they also did not lose 8-1. They hung in more than people give credit for.

I think many here should take a breather from CP tomorrow and come back Saturday. I am doing that. Just cannot believe the comments on here.
