Oilers fan (friend, although not once playoffs start) was so excited when EDM clinched he bought tix to ANA games 1 and 2 thinking EDM would be playing the Ducks. No value to him now obviously. Am looking at flights now!

If you live in Calgary and are complaining about an 830 start time, imagine being in Toronto and having to wait till 1030 to watch the game, if the game goes to overtime? Wow the next day will be hell at work.
I'll be up though the entire way, whether it ends in reg or goes to 4 OTs.

Looking at all the series schedules: The Flames and Oilers will be playing on alternating nights through the first round. The Flames will be the second half of the double-header with the Leafs-Caps series every night.

Works pretty well if you live in BC though!

At what point do the Ducks start taking us lightly? Surely it can't be the easiest thing for some of those guys to get up for games at the Honda Centre against us.
Hopefully they let their guard down in game 1 and before they know it we have a 3-0 lead in the first that they can't come back from.
I'll be happy if theres a win in the Honda Center regardless of the result. I'm betting $100 on the Ducks every game in hopes the profits will pay for a photo radar ticket I got 3 weeks ago. If the Flames win the series, it will be the best money I ever lost.
Where does one go to bet on individual playoff games? Games in Anaheim would be easy money betting on the Ducks, though I imagine the payoff would be quite small. But losing $100 if by some miracle the Flames actually won would be money well spent
One good thing about playing Anaheim is that anyone looking to travel down there for the first two games can find relatively cheap tickets (there are plenty of seats available for under $50 USD).
A last-minute Easter weekend flight/hotel might not be as easy to find. Plus, you can spend the off day at Disneyland, which is a hell of a lot better than West Edmonton Mall.

An Oiler fan messing up because they got way ahead of themselves? Sounds about right...

Don't the Flames have a clergyman or some type of pastor on staff? Time to bring him along for game one, and perform an exorcism or something in the Honda Center. Clear sailing after that!
In all seriousness, this is the 2nd least wanted match-up I wanted as it will prove to be a very physical game (I was more apprehensive about St. Louis). Honda Center curse will be a thing of the past. Flames just need to play gritty throughout, but not lose their focus while doing it. If they manage to do that, they will win. Flames just come unraveled a bit too much against the Ducks when the Ducks start with their agitation.
Flames just need to agitate Kesler as much as possible, and perhaps go after Getzlaf as well, without getting thrown off. Doable. Just get it done.
This is a winnable series. Flames can out-skate them.
