"it is what it is" is the dumbest phrase currently being used to death.

No, Bennett didn't have a super start, but he's been better lately. I think he'll be busy in the playoffs.

I don't think fans appreciate enough how hard goaltenders work.
Congrats to Moose and all the Flames!!!

Quick Six will be working with the Flames for the playoffs!

Stamps are loaning Quick Six to the @nhlflames for the playoffs!
The horse, which will be renamed “Quick Sticks” while on assignment, will do a hard-charging lap of the Saddledome ice after every Flames goal.
The horse has been fitted with special horseshoes made by Bauer.

I see your point, and naturally the players need to ensure they're not content with just making the playoffs.
From the fans' perspective, though, it'll be great to see the younger players get some valuable postseason experience that should serve them well in years to come. After the brutal start, just making the dance this year is an accomplishment.

I just wish the powers that be could come to some sort of goddamn agreement on a new arena. Day after clinching a playoff spot and all the discussion about new arena pros/cons is being rehashed for the 53154th time in 4 different threads on the first page of FOI.

Getzlaf and Tanguay lost their hair early, so maybe it's a good sign.
Then again so did Stajan so at the very worst Bennett will be a really great guy even if not a great hockey player.
That's just science.

A return of Van series Ferland would be pretty awesome too. Especially if the recent scoring touch stays with it.

Ferland and 5 pts in 9 Games during that playoffs as well.
Brouwer
Ferland
Giordano
Engelland
Tkachuk
Bennett
Lots of potential beast modes there.

Engelland has been a nice surprise this year, he was picking it up last year too, but this year he's been a nice solid contributor and yeah I think he'll be a beast in the playoffs.
I'm still a little scared at a potential resigning though because of age and dollars.

Surprise? He's been consistent most of his tenure here.

He wasn't great, but when Gio went down to injury and he stepped up to partner with Brodie for the stretch run and playoff run he was excellent.

I'd settle for a deer so we could put context to Burke's comments
