No kidding. I can't figure out why he's on this team. Bring someone up. They certainly can't be any worse.

Some people on this forum have just become so incredibly negative, they will have a cloud over their head no matter what. Frankly it's why I've been here less and less. It's infectious and makes you a bitter cranky fan too.

As to this game, it's not been bad. Been a bit boring, but I'll take it. Over all I'd say it's been relatively even, our goaltender has been great and even Wideman hasnt been terrible.

Really only two things have made me want to punch my TV set so far.

- Monahan... in general frankly, but that pass... just wow.

- Tkachuck high stick was just pure and simple epic stupid and could have cost us the game. Thankfully it didnt.

I honestly don't know why this hasnt happened. Send a message, a big message.

Something is overwhelmingly exceedingly wrong with Monahan, and if it's effort, perhaps he needs such a message. He frankly just looks lazy and dumb; attributes I would have never ascribed to him in the past.

I am not taking a knock at Johnson at all; he's been great.

Frankly though, he hasn't had to be exceptional. He's faced a high volume of shots, but many if not most have been low percentage types. He had the one breakaway due to Monahan's boneheaded boneheadery and a few nice close in saves but nothing has been too brutal.

Second straight game where the #Flames have been crushed through 40. Possession 32.0% after 20, 38.9% after 40. In good position, though.

flames pls stop

Is trade almost everyone on our roster for Werenski. Kid is a complete stud. Love that he at 19 can take he blame for the goal against, even those it wasn't really on him. Kid will be there captain, and best player for many years.

I am enjoying the win, but not so much the actual quality of hockey being played.

No passing.

I'll take him now but when he has his struggles at 20-21 he can go eff himself.

Disagree. He has made some very dangerous saves.

Everyone knows defencemen peak at 19 then crash at 23.

I hope Monahan's career doesn't take a Skinner-esque nose dive after some early success.

Very good defensive shift from Monahan, he didn't have any support on the board battle from Brodie or Wideman though.
