It was 4 on 4 when the Flames took the 2 penalties.
You can only be short two men. So Hamilton's penalty started ticking and the original penalty that had 40s left continued to tick.
This meant that Brouwer's penalty couldn't start until Shinkaruk's was over.
It also meant it would have been 40s 4on3. 1:20 5 on 3. Then 40s 5 on 4.
