Thanks for the constant updates on old Doug "The Slug" Hamilton.
Your contributions are invaluable.

I decided to watch him closely this game just to figure what others see in him that I don't ... well after tonight I think HE IS ACTUALLY WORSE THAN I THOUGHT.
The guy soaks 30 minutes a night on the blueline ... and he is at best a 3rd pairing Dman at the moment ... ugly.
|
You iso'd on him and only focus on the negatives. Not once have you mentioned any of the good things he has done and even the negatives you blame on him for no reason. The first goal he was in the correct position protecting his side of the net from the cross ice pass. His PP time has been adequate, got a bunch of pucks directed on net, one flubbed pass, but one really good keep in. I am not saying he has had a great night but you constantly ignore any of the good things he does simply to push your narrative. Haters gonna hate.

No - the point is he is not a #1 Dman in this league. That's the only point i'm trying to make here. Everyone out there makes some good moves ... but he makes LOTS of bad ones.

No one said he "soaked up 30 mins a night" either but hey it helps the narrative.

Well I know what I saw tonight from #27 - pretty mediocre defensive play both with the puck and without it. He's not that good, and I don't see the potential. Those with boners for Dougie, well you know what erections do to your brain ....

Actually, the brain is what causes a "boner."
Great stuff though. Ride the wave.

Hamilton had a bad game. That does not make this thread any more relevant or any less ridiculous.

Doggie Hamilton is far from being the biggest reason the Flames have been an early disaster after only 5 games. The most glaring disaster doesn't even where a number.

You mean when he put it in the mid section of Gaudreau with an awful pass and Gaudreau did a great job scoring?

Again, brutal game by Dougie. He has to be better, bottom line. Hes been a turnover machine and opposing players just dance around him at will. When will people recognize this

When people hate a player they will naturally only see their errors.
I would suggest that you may be doing this.

He did make a nice set-up on a goal. I dont hate dougie i just expect way more out of him. And to come on here and vast majority to suggest stupid thread and my opinion is dumb. How? I cannot get through my head how some posters think he has been playing good. Naturally with a contract like his and the cost to acquire him he is going to be held to a higher standard.
