I don't see why BT wouldn't be all over a long term (6+ years for either of them), unless he wants to bridge them until they're just barely RFA, then go long term after that. Isn't that what Chicago did with Kane and Toews?
Also, Sam Bennett can be extended as of July 1st (afaik), so maybe BT is also trying to extend him as well? That would be nice, and would save a lot of worry during the season. I doubt Bennett's camp would want to go long term, but if you plop an 8 year, 40 million extension on the table right now for Bennett, I think it'd be tough for him to say no. He's not worth that money right now, but honestly, if he doesn't reach at least that level, the Flames are not going to be competing for any cups over the next 8 years anyways, so I wouldn't necessarily care if he's overpaid. The Flames are going to have enough trouble long term with the cap, I think it would be best if they were able to take some decent risks like Dallas did with Klingberg and Nashville did with Josi.

Since we're having a group dream share in here, most of my dreams that I can remember are weird hunger games scenarios or counter strike scenarios where I get killed and revive, too many video games? Your thoughts?

I have recurring dreams that I'm playing in the NHL. Usually with the Flames.
I'm on the bench having water with my glove off, but then there's a quick line change. I hop over the boards and receive a breakaway pass. The problem is I can't get my glove back on for the life of me as I'm bearing down, and I can never get the shot off and everyone hates me. It's the same as the sensation of when you're trying to run in a dream, and you simply can't, and it's so damn frustrating.
I'm stick handling with one hand, and trying to put the other glove on and I just can't.
It's not a good feeling seeing disappointment in Gio and Monahan's eyes.
I have occasional dreams about playing cross-country street hockey. That is, the entire length of the street is one continuous hockey rink. Stickhandling around sharp bends is tricky.
