Even though they're losing the Blues are a serious freaking hockey team. Imagine this squad against either of the teams in that FLA / NYI series.

Hahaha, they zoom in on the Blues fans after the empty net goal for Chicago. One Blues fan is clapping for some reason...

Can someone clarify for me, are you offside if your back foot comes off the ice but your front foot hasn't touched down in the zone when the puck crosses the blue line?

It looked to me like both feet were in the air, but I'm not sure if the refs saw it that way and the rule is that that's offside, or if the refs thought they saw his front foot touch down first.

Offside call was horrible. way too close to call that should have stood no doubt in my mind. If the intention of the review is to see if a players skate is a quarter inch off the ice or a mm offisde this has gotten to be a joke.

Really? In the crease. Hip into the goalies head and it stands? What the hell have we got into with these reviews. I have gone from a supporter to not in a very quick time.

Well, the Blues' fans must be feeling shellshocked after this one. Wow.

What a joke. Hawks win two at home and take this in five, maybe six. Good work refs.

Be surprised if the Blues recovered mentally from this. Kind of games that can decide series I think.

Yeah, wtf was going on there. That was a hard sturdy clap, like the black Janitor cheering on Rudy.

I like how Shaw ices the puck and no call, I thought when you shot the puck from 6 feet before the red line it was icing.

Hey, the Blues could still come back!

It's always fun when the game-winning goals are empty-netters.

Two bad calls wrecked an otherwise good hockey game.

Hate all the interference and picks that Chicago gets away with.

Good game, but let's just let the linesmen do their jobs. They are pretty good at it IMO

No goal. Right call, but this review rule has to go.

Elliotte Friedman ‏@FriedgeHNIC
This is not what the rule was supposed to be, either

Do you get back the plays that are killed by erroneous offside calls? No, and that's why the rule's current implementation blows. You used to have the bad calls on both sides even each other out, but instead now they're just putting huge delays into games for things that don't matter at all compared to the rest of the stuff that goes on.

Why do offsides have to be the one thing that is enforced to the millimeter? Nothing else being called is even close to that precise, it's like introducing tennis Hawkeye into one very specific part of a game that is otherwise ruled by chaos.
