Another period where we seem to be outmatched in the workrate department. Coyotes just seem to have an extra step and more speed on us.
With the chances we've had though, dare I say that if we had a fit and firing Frolik and Hudler on the ice in this game, we'd probably be ahead?

I kinda like Hirsch on the panel. And he picked the Flames to win it all!

I just want to say this. Joe Colborne has nearly double the minutes as Ferland. It stings!!
Double sorry

Need a big third period from the boys, Ramo is definitely keeping them in this one. They've had some good chances but no sustained pressure at all. Lots of sloppy passing from people you don't expect it from, like Johnny! He looks to be gripping it a bit tight even after the goal.

Tell the team quick! They'd probably be good for two in the third to push it to overtime

He's scared of accidentally turning it over to Joe Colborne so he'd rather give it up to the Coyotes.

Yeah, that came in unexpected.

At least Corey Hirsch makes a good point once in a while. Shannon is brutal. He cut Hirsch off 4 times in one intermission and didn't make one solid point.

I honestly think a big part of the reason Johnny doesn't look the best goes back to Colborne. Johnny is the type of player who gets better and better through that game, he heats up as he makes plays. He needs to have the puck on his stick as much as possible to get him going through the game.

As much as I hate Doan on the Ice him taking the time to sign atougraphs in the intermission is pretty neat of him.

Johnny would almost be better off with with Brodie on the wing. Everyone else is a half a second behind.

Flipped to the coyotes broadcast for a minute (not sure why, just like to see how bad the commentary is a guess) and they were laughing about the Johnny hockey nickname and how one guy "can't stand it". Didn't stick around long enough for context because...well they're clearly Edmonton levels of no good, but I thought people had stopped pretending it wasn't a well deserved nickname? I mean, even Healey must know how dumb he sounded complaining about it last year.

Just passed some guy in the concourse wearing one of the Flames' alternates, which wouldn't be a problem, except:
- The name on the back was Iginla (he never wore this jersey)
- The number was 24.
- On front of the jersey were three different commemorative patches: 2004 Cup Run patch, 30th Anniversary, and perhaps most inexplicably, the MUM's 75th anniversary patch (Iginla wasn't even playing then)
- Instead of the Captain's C, the jersey had an Atlanta Flames A. On the alternate. On the wrong side of the jersey.
- It was one of those knockoffs with the wrong font on the back
Dude.

For some reason I thought Hirsch played for the Flames at some point, but he didn't.
Ramo's been good again, dude is white hot.
