I really hope this was a breakout game for him. He was all over the ice, made plays and had a bunch of scoring chances. He's going to be scary good when he fills in with another 20-25 lbs. Hopefully him and Johnny stay together for a while.
I was so happy to see that. Cowen should change his name to Coward.

Bollig's move all year has been shooting the puck. Either missing the net by 2 feet on a beauty feed from Stajan or shooting it on net from the blueline on a 2 on 2 when he's not even being pressured. That's all he does.

Sometimes Wills makes me wonder if he actually knows hockey all that well.
Wills' insight is pretty marginal. It's a difference between him and Maher. Maher never spoke about on-ice plays as far as breaking them down, or critiquing a player. He'd give general thoughts about the room or what the coaches were saying as the "insider".

Bollig has a hard shot, but he is not accurate. But I'd also say the Flames' shot selection and execution is generally bad overall so far. Backlund shoots from the blue line a lot, Russell missed the net a lot on the PP, sending the puck all the way around and out. Stajan tends to pass a bit much when he's in a better position to shoot (not as much confidence in his own shot maybe)? Wideman isn't getting the shot through as much.

Love that clip of bennett. Sure he may be struggling to get on the scoresheet but its great how he handles it. Doesnt mope around or lose confidence. He tries harder, gets pissed, drives harder to the net and if he has the chance to take out his frustration on an opponent, he will.

15 more pounds on Bennett and the NHL is in a world of hurt. Man that was awesome.

Gaudreau did kind of trip him and the cheap shot wasn't as bad as I first thought, but still good on Bennett for sticking up for Johnny. We haven't had much of that for a long time.

Great guy but clueless and drinks the kook-aid. Warrener even called him out on it. He would be great in Edmonton because he constantly ignores the bad and looks for the positives. That's great once in a while but he needs to lay off the Kool-aid.

One of the only media guys in Calgary who isn't brutally honest.
