That doesn't mean a thing. If anyone recalls the beautiful young girl that was shot and killed in her car last week I think it was? She was a client of mine and so was her dad. He was in my office yesterday. Came back from lunch to find him waiting for me.

He was here to cancel her auto policy. He said he got a reminder in the mail about her unpaid renewal premium. I couldn't believe it. He just lost his daughter to murder and he was very concerned about getting her auto policy dealt with.

He VERY much struck me as someone whom hasn't had the reality of his situation hit home yet. I felt so bad for that man. But despite his loss, he seemed composed.

Everyone reacts differently to loss. For some, it's a random moment or event that rams home the scope of loss and that's when the emotions burst out.

Sometimes when people are in extreme shock after losing someone, it's like an out of body experience and they emotionally disconnect somewhat. It's a terrible feeling, but to someone who has never experienced it, it might seem odd. But it is extremely excruciating for the person even if it doesn't seem like it.

She's probably still in shock. I lost my sister last year. The range of emotions you go through are insane, and everyone goes through them at different paces. I'm still going through sone I'm sure. think my mom is just coming out of shock this year. :/

But you go back to the fact that these murders are so often committed by family members or close acquaintances. I mean maybe the little girl knew Sarotzky, who knows I guess. I'm sure the police are looking pretty hard at the mom and her relationship with the guy arrested.

If the mother is involved, I'm sure she'll be found. Gross to pile on her right now though.

She has been caught in a lie already from her press conference. She says she hasn't saw the accused in 3 years, but her open Facebook account shows her uploading a picture of him in November 2014

You can't really go by emotions, when judging the mother. When you're in shock you are on auto-pilot.

If she is involved, she could have just as easily faked sobbing.

Big deal.

I uploaded a picture of my wife last week, she hasn't been around for over a year.

If you are talking about the picture on her facebook now, yes there is a picture of a white male who has a beard but it's not Derek Saretsky.

Folks, we are trying to allow a discussion here and I understand that part of people working through the emotions of this, is that people naturally try to seek understanding in something that you will never understand. So I get the speculation. There are a lot of posts close to the line that we are leaving up, but there have been a few posts that are WAY over the line that I've deleted.
We don't know what happened here, so let's step back from speculating on the guilt of people not accused of anything to this point, or speculate on other things related to the age of the people involved when the child was conceived and what not.
In short exercise some common sense. We are accountable for what gets posted here.

I don't remember what I said, but I apologize. I was trying to diffuse speculation. As noted in my previous post.

Doesn't make sense to expect a "normal" reaction from someone when the situation is so far away from normal.

I had some interaction with Nathan O'Brien's parents in the weeks after he was killed last summer. If I didn't know who they were from the news, I'd never have known.

You never know someone's situation. Everyone handles things differently.
