Disclaimer: There are many many more differences between being a province and a nation, some helpfull and some hurtfull, than just transfer payments. I'm merely curious.

And that also assumes Alberta would've put the remaining profits in a trust fund instead of creating more tax breaks, Ralph bucks, etc., but I've argued the same thing you are in the past.
