With so many other hitters tearing it up, Tulowitzki has quietly hit 9/31 in his last 8 games, which is close to his career average. His defense has been anything but quiet, of course.

Just need Martin to get going now. Hopefully he can continue to get some rest down the stretch so he's feeling good for the postseason.

EDIT: And as I write this, second HR in as many games for Martin. #cheatcode The Jays are making this look easy.

And now Martin's bat is coming around. A home run on an 0-2 pitch!

Sleep right through the start time, get up, and the Jays are up 6. Not bad.

One stupid play you can forgive

But back to back days?

If I'm the manager, I pull him right there - just call him off the field in front of everyone

I was doing an errand and I missed it - What did Gose do today that was a head scratcher?

Fly ball to centre. Pillar was on first and they run a hit and run. Pillar makes a mistake and runs too far - well past the SS.

Gose just has to throw to first and they double play Pillar by 50 ft.

But Gose casually tosses the ball in towards 2nd, missing the cutoff guy, and Pillar gets back safely.

Pop out to centre field, Pillar forgot how many outs there were, so he ran from first almost all the way to third, then had to turn around go back to first.

It was basically a guaranteed double up at first, but Gose just casually threw it to the infield and hopped it before the 2nd baseman, allowing Pillar to easily get back to first.

Yankees pretending they're the Blue Jays right now, having a monster 2 out run spree. Just hit after hit.

16-5 now.

Need to step it up!

So I just looked for fun and the only games left this season that even have a chance of not being sold out are the three against Cleveland coming up, the first game against Baltimore this Friday and the First game of the Rays series (last series of the season).

The first Indians game, and the Orioles and Rays games look like they have 5-6k left now and will all likely sell out. However it looks like the Tuesday and Wednesday Indians games will have fairly week crowds with 15-20k seats still available each night, but those will be our last two non-sellouts of the season.

What an impressive turnaround, that was more than I even imagined. When the trades and hype first started I was thinking strong weekday crowds of 30k, strong weekend crowds of 35-40k and then some sellouts sprinkled in for the Yankees and Price weekend starts.

This is just incredible.

I'm hoping lots of fans in Toronto do what I just did and check out availability and jump on tickets this week.

The Jays should promote that during tomorrow's broadcast and in-game as well. They've been mentioning how scarce tickets are, but a very specific push on "If you want to catch another game this regular season it's pretty much either tomorrow or Wednesday, so grab them while you can".

EE set a club record with his 35th RBI of the month, the most for any Jay in any month. And still one more game to play before September. Pretty incredible.
