If Van loses, and we beat AZ, we have the tie-breaker on them. We will have the same ROW's, but we are 2-1-1 against the Canucks. We could be second in the Pacific by tomorrow night...lol. This is just crazy.

Jets are sitting back and the Wild are really taking it to them with 10 minutes left. Minnesota had two short handed chances on the last Winnipeg PP

^ First tiebreaker is goal differential iirc, but the Flames have that over the nucks at the moment.
EDIT: I stand corrected per below.

Also the good news is, I think we have the tie-breaker on everyone in the hunt right now be it ROW, or head to head. This isn't as doom and gloom as it looks. I would almost bet it is going to boil down to 2 or 3 teams tied at the end, and that will work in our favour.

I think we can do it. Why not? Let's end this the proper way. With some clutch Mony, a lil Johnny magic, and a Hudler smile.

Bottom line. Win 3 and you're in.
Otherwise you're not.

Nope, it's the last criteria considered.
Quote:
If two or more clubs are tied in points during the regular season, the standing of the clubs is determined in the following order:
1- The fewer number of games played (i.e., superior points percentage).
2-The greater number of games won, excluding games won in the Shootout. This figure is reflected in the ROW column.
3-The greater number of points earned in games between the tied clubs. If two clubs are tied, and have not played an equal number of home games against each other, points earned in the first game played in the city that had the extra game shall not be included. If more than two clubs are tied, the higher percentage of available points earned in games among those clubs, and not including any "odd" games, shall be used to determine the standing.
4-The greater differential between goals for and against for the entire regular season. NOTE: In standings a victory in a shootout counts as one goal for, while a shootout loss counts as one goal against.

ROW, Season Series, differential
Flames are good in that scenario

As expected, it's the worst case OOT scenario.
Well I guess as long as there's no overtime...
