Hockey is a contact sport. #### happens. Just ask Bouma who takes a beating more than anyone. I think he's keenly aware of what he's doing out there and what the potential consequences might be. Bouma has never shown any inclination to be dirty or try to injure players. He plays hard, and straight up. I wish all the league were like Lance.

I think a vet like Hartnell gets angry over a hit like that because his skating is already very poor and a major knee injury at this stage in his career could mean it being over.
It was an accidental knee, those are bound to happen when you're as aggressive as Bouma is.
