Usually I'm the first one to light a torch, grab a pitchfork, and lead the complain march, so this is kind of new to me . . . It looks great! I had only a passing interest before, but the trailer has sold me.
Oh come on, no it doesn't. Are you just being positive because you think there is some intrinsic value in seeing the bright side or something? That trailer was garbage.
I mean, "great"?! Is that really the word you meant to use? I can think of quite a few great movies, but you'd have to be the least qualified person on the planet to judge the quality of any movie if you watched that trailer and thought "great movie." A real classic, eh?
I've never been angrier reading a comment on CP.

I don't think it looks that bad... It doesn't look good, but not the apocalyptic atrocity that some are making it out to be.
Its going to be a disaster of Biblical proportions.
I am talking Old Testament, Mr. MattyC. Real wrath-of-God type stuff! Fire and brimstone coming down from the skies! Rivers and seas boiling! Forty years of darkness! Earthquakes, volcanoes! The dead rising from the grave! Human sacrifice! Dogs and cats living together! Mass hysteria!

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.

Ecto-1 looked horrible. So horrible that it will be a distraction to a car guy like me. The comedy/story looks meh at best, The cgi and colors look beautiful though. So nice that I'll probably take the chance just to be dazzled by beautiful ghosts.

This... was an interesting tirade.
As a total aside, I just finished absorbing that whole PIMKing debacle from the New Year. "Never been angrier" seems more fitting there (though I personally didn't get angry, it was just fantastical how that thing all went down!!!)

So basically, if you cut virtually all of the dialogue out, it could be OK. . . .
That gives me hope?
And the stupid/slapstick humor, which was a "hm...not sure I'm liking this..." point for me.
I also noticed that the 'boxing gloves' proton gun that one lady had were cut out, too. I can get behind the two guns, but proton gloves...?
I don't know about hope. I still intend to wait 2-3 weeks to see audience reactions to it before I see it. But if that trailer had been the one released, I'd have been much more positively inclined (and possibly more disappointed when I saw the actual movie...)

It's true. These Ghostbusters have no dick.

Finally watched this to see what all the fuss was about and yeah, other than the FX, it looks pretty bad.
To be fair though, I'm not a Kristen Wiig fan, can't stand Melissa McCarthy, and haven't watched SNL in 10 years so am probably not the demographic they are going for.
Have to say, that trailer looks very meh. Just doesn't grab me in any way. Doesn't seem funny, the plot seems recycled and not in any interesting way, the effects don't look like much. Yeah maybe if the reviews are totally awesome. But I kind of doubt it.
