I haven't attempted to watch an all star game since the 90s

Have always loved the All Star Game, and this year was more of the same. Love to see the stars being less serious and having fun.

Good lord NHL, you really need to get rid of these online votes, the integrity of the game is taking a beating this weekend.

Giordano finished a solid +6 on the day.

I only saw one highlight and I could tell from those 10 seconds that the game was an embarrassment to the NHL and hockey in general. The all-star game never had great intensity, but it was much better in the 80's when at least you saw some effort. The only way to fix the All-Star game would be to put up some serious money to the winning team. Something like $10 million to the winning team and $0 to the losing team. Otherwise they should just cancel it.

Kids really do love it and they love seeing big names score goals, just because you hate it, doesn't mean it's broken.

Had an idea!

It would be nice if they at least skated hard. Similar to beer league hockey where you skate hard and try but you don't hit and are pretty careful to not hurt the other guy.
This floating around stuff isn't really selling the game.

There's lots that do enjoy it and it's really for the casual fan. It's not for hardcore fans like you anyways and the sponsors want it, so it ain't going away

I think a lot of the reason the hold this event is to give a good reason to get a week break at the midway point in the season.

If anyone cares, the AHL skill competition is on Sportsnet 360 right now. Poirier is competing in a few events.
