It was pretty obvious, watching the presser that Treliving wasnt happy about this. He was doing his best to separate the man from the job.

As much as Brad Treliving and probably the whole organization loves Bob Hartley, Treliving just felt the team had no other option but to move on.

You could tell that it was pretty hard on Treliving. Especially the part where someone asked 'how did Bob take it?'

Treliving says that 'he took it as you'd expect' but thinking about it, I'm guessing he didnt take it all that well.

Go back and look at old Hartley quotes and he's very business-like in his approach. He didn't seem like he was having any fun, and he never, ever made any jokes or puns or whatever. I was very happy to have him and his demeanor around the team for so long. He had trouble getting the results in the end, but he always brought a never-say-die attitude to the team, and like Yogi Berra once said, "90% of the game is mental, the other half is physical."
