Too greedy by Flacco there - lots of time left.

Poorly thrown ball, Smith had him beat.

Why didn't Torrey Smith play the ball there? He jumps for the ball and it's likely an incompletion

That burnt timeout is now huge, no chance for them to get the ball back.

Why didn't NE give safety, then do free kick that can't be blocked?

Hmmm, they could have run around the end zone and taken off 5 seconds off the clock. They do the post safety punt and baltimore calls fair catch with maybe 5-10 seconds left. Problem there is a field goal wins.
Either way, huge blunder by the Pats coaching staff on the clock?!

Maybe worried about a runback that would leave the Ravens in field goal range for the win?
I don't think there was enough time for that to happen though.

Patriots mismanagement was not killing more clock with the plays. Run it outside stretch play (but stay in bounds) and take a few more seconds off each play. 4 more seconds each play means you can run it out of the end zone for the safety and no time is left.

Pats defense was weak link today, they need to get better soon.... especially Revis

They were also kneeing with several seconds left on play clock. Just got too excited to do the math i think

Beat the spread, good times.
Lots of mistakes at the end there though.
-Flacco throwing deep there. Why? Even if it was a TD it would have left too much time on the clock for the Brady. They were moving the ball slowly but surely - keep that going.
-Patriots not running a play or two instead of kneeling on the ball - created a punt situation.
-Why not run around and take a safety on the last play and chew clock and then a free kick that can't be blocked?
-Why on earth do the Ravens not call for a fair catch on that punt? You have a punt block called, there is no chance for a return - and it would have saved 4-5 seconds on the clock and maybe bought Flacco another play.
Bottom line this came down to the Ravens D unable to stop Patriots passing. Such a one-dimensional offense, the Patriots didn't even try to run the ball in the 2nd half and it should be easy enough to stop that kind of offense but they weren't able to make the adjustments.

Well... disappointing result but still a great game.
Didn't expect the Ravens to make the playoffs this year, so squeaking in and beating the Steelers on the road was a nice bonus.

I'm pretty sure a fair catch would have given the Ravens an option for an uncontested field goal, if I am the Pats I would rather defend a hail mary than hope Justin Tucker misses a massive field goal.

That is a terrible force by Cam. Might get away with it.
