Based on how they've played thus far this season, the Flames should be 0-6-0, and yet are looking like they will be 3-3. That's pretty good considering how they've played. We just are not very good at hockey. It happens when you go through a complete tear down rebuild. We don't have any good forwards offensively outside of Hudler at the moment.

He is still more noticeable than JG. His size and grit are his advantage.

He is not being handed ####. Undrafted and worked himself in to the NHL.

The flames seem to play better against teams that aren't very good.

Not a fan of the logo, but other than that those Columbus jerseys are fantastic.

A little bit of context is warranted. This Columbus team isn't the bunch of bums that we're used to seeing anymore. These guys are getting up there and we haven't even seen them fully healthy yet.

That aside, what's been killing me for the first part of the season for the Flames and I couldn't put my finger on it until watching the first period and a half tonight, is there's zero puck support on zone exits, every pass is a stretch pass and even on a good day the success rate of long stretch passes are below 50%.

I like to think fundamental hockey is based on the foundation of short break out passes with great positioning, not these constant hail mary passes the Flames have been forcing so much. They really need to bring the forwards back to the red line. Almost play like the two line pass rule is back. Sure use a stretch pass once in a while but not every single freaking play.

Pretty sure the stretch passes have been Hartleys plan from the get-go. So it probobly won't change.

Two quick goals to start the third and we're back in it and everyone will love the Flames again. Or not.

I don't think it's unreasonable for people to be mad, the team is playing like garbage.
The fact that Johnny is sitting just increases frustrations for some.

We need to reach the salary floor. And we also don't want to rush prospects.

The sky is falling.
