I agree it could be worse. Good think it wasn't a 1st round pick this time otherwise he would just be another Nemisz, Jankowski, Erixon, Irving, Pelech, Chucko, Nystrom, Kobasew, Krahn, Saprykin, Fata, Tkaczuk, Dingman, Mattsson, Sundblad, Kidd, Manderville, Muzzatti, Deasley, Pelawa, Biotti.

What are you on about? How could you compare him to even half of these guys?

This is where the mods can be proactive instead of reactive and get rid of this tool.

I know you are doing nothing but trolling here, but for your information Pelawa passed away in car crash after the draft. Now stop acting like a goof online wasting everyone's time (especially your own).

I can just see you now
"Hey all of my friend! I went to a Flames website and made fun of them! Yeah! Awesome! High five!"
Seriously, is this your enjoyment for the day? If you look at the big picture, doesn't it make you sad?
Edit: And since you want to bring up history, look at this page of all time winning percentage for teams. That's Calgary in number 4 from the top and Vancouver 3rd from last.

i sorta feel bad for him. Seems like one of those guys who is so upset and sad about the state of his favourite team that it makes him feel better to go and try to crap over a rival team.
there there bud, at least the canucks are building a stable of 3rd line centers and wingers. With the strong leadership qualities of the roster there (kesler gone, and let's face it, management thought naming a goalie captain was smarter than a sedin at one point) should be a definite turnaround year for the canucks.
I think all flames fans here are just upset that the canucks are going to be so good that they'll likely get that 10th place finish in the west, and continue on the path of mediocraty. hopefully that makes you feel better.

I would have picked him at 34. Therfore very happy Flames got him later.
He has a high ceiling. But yes, there is risk.

How can there only be 4 teams with an above 50% winning percent? Where is a statistician?

Not sure how wins would be counted now.
Previously it would simply be wins, so if historically 15% of the games were tied, that accounts for your difference:
82 game season
35 wins
35 losses
12 ties
winning % is not .500, its 35/82 and 0.427

This article has the standings by points percentage which is much closer to the 50/50 split. It's a year and a half old but you get the idea.

Flames 7th, Canucks 24th.

Thanks for nothing, NHL.
