Compare their forwards to LA and you see depth that one would associate with elite teams. To me they depend on their two star forwards more than other top teams.
Toews and Kane are pretty clutch though. I think that's what separates the Hawks from say the Penguins in that their best two forwards usually come through when needed. Sharp and Hossa aren't chopped liver and stack up favorably against most Kings forwards.

Toews and Kane are goddamn amazing. And I don't even like them. With LA's depth, they wouldn't have to be as amazing for their team to win.

Some light reading for nmhen:
http://www.hockeywilderness.com/wild...rd-line-centre

Strange to see such an "overrated" player needing to be defended against his own fanbase. Long story short, stats show elite puck possession against the toughest competition, with below top quality linemates.

It is do or die for the Wild and I think they will force a game seven, just like they did last round.

Good God, Ballard is a terrible player. He gave away the puck on goal 1 and just boneheadedly handed the puck to Toews for shorthanded breakaway.

And now Cooke smashes Oduya from behind. Did these guys take idiot pills before the game?

If you mean dextroamphetamine, the answer is a resounding yes. God bless the NHL.

Haula sure can skate. Young legs win hockey games. Can't wait to see Poirier with the Flames.

I know most of you are probably watching a Canadian feed but damn Dave Strader calls a good game. Crazy action there

Pretty decent guy for a 7th rounder

Haven't seen a Finn with wheels since 1993 when Selanne came to the league lol

Minnesota is playing well but scoring on Chicago is so difficult when they're fully focused. They have sticks on every lane.
