Oh and I thought the CRTC made it illegal for channels to crank commercials now? I have to turn down my receiver at least 6 notches during the game when the commercials come on. They are WAY louder than the game. Screw off CBC with this crap.

Every player who had fewer than 25 NHL games played prior to the start of this season is required to wear a visor.

Westgarth and McGrattan were grandfathered in and able to not wear a visor.

Take the helmet and visor off before the fight.
Its a 2 minute penalty to take off your helmet now.

Ah that's what it is, I knew the number 25 was in there. Thought it was age.

Are they able to remove it after 25 games played?

What an odd mindset.

Would I love a job where I had to show up once a week to talk about hockey for a couple minutes? Absolutely.

Does that have anything to do with my dislike of Don Cherry and why I think he's such a loud mouth? Absolutely not.

Jealousy? Weird choice of words. Weird line of thinking.

Mandatory visors for new players entering the league. Westgarth & McGrattan are 'grandfathered' under the old rules and thus can choose to not wear one.

Just like when helmets were introduced and the braintrust of the Oilers wisely chose to expose his noggin while he wrapped up his career.

No. It's all players entering the league going forward.

I was wondering about that too. Oh well, he's pretty old and probably losing his memory

Who cares though? He was still a dick fighting with a visor on.

Apparently at least one more.

The assistant coaches are all still there, and all the hires have come from the same old boys club. They've never really done a proper purge, just going through the numbers to attempt the appease the fanbase without actually making a real impact.

Ralph Krueger was the only real outsider, and in retrospect showed the most promise (at least PP and PK numbers).

But a seasoned coach with real experience who they don't drag out of retirement or the teams history logs seems like a good idea.

You're right. All 25 year olds must wear visors. They can only take them off on their 26th birthday.

No coach in the world would tell their players to not back check, not saying Eakins is a good coach but there's only so much you can do with a bunch of losers.

seriously never knew that. So if dude is 24 he can fight with a visor but if player b is 26 he can be like any usual enforcer visorless. That is just an odd rule.
