I doubt there will be a new coach hire until the GM is hired as he should get to choose his coach. There's no point in firing Hartley right now as the talent just isn't there and a new coach may accomplish nothing more than moving the Flames down a few draft notches.

Games like this are when guys like Stempniak, Cammalleri and Stajan need to step up and set an example for the younger guys.
Instead, we get the happy apathy crew.

Stajan, Stempniak, Jones, Glencross have all been passengers this season. Biggest disappointment to me is how given a prime opportunity to get minutes they would never get on better teams none of these guys have stepped up. Part of that is that they just aren't good enough players to carry a team but we have seen better from all of these players in past seasons.

To be quite honest it was only a great series if you were a Flames or Lightning fan. It wasn't great hockey.
