New Seattle parents name daughter Cydnee Leigh 12th Mann … yes, that’s her legal name

Athletes often have some interesting birth names. But who knew a football team could inspire one of the oddest middle names we've ever heard?
Welcome to the world, Cydnee Leigh 12th Mann. Yes, that's her name. Her legally binding name. Inspired by the Super Bowl-bound Seattle Seahawks, we assume, based on her post-birth swaddling clothes. (Thanks to Big Lead, who first picked this story up.)

Which name are we supposed to be more shocked about? Cydnee or 12th?

Who wants to be known as Ben Johnson or Tom Wilson? Hell, I still get TSN's Mike Johnson mixed up with half a dozen other people.
I hate my name. It's boring. It's one of the most common North American names (both first and last). I was also born on the most common birth date of the year.
I know a guy named Lenus. As odd as that is, I'd far rather that be my name.
Griffin Reinhart. Zenon Konopka. These are names.

How many times in your life have you had to spell your name to someone because you knew if you didn't, you'd spend the next two minutes correcting them, and even after all that you knew there'd be a high likelihood that your name would still be spelled wrong on their file? That's why you give your kids normal names.
I'd actually be interested to know what the numbers would look like if you compared parents with unique names vs. parents with "normal" names and the probability that they give their own kids unique names. I wonder if Bob and Jane are more likely to give their kids odd names compared to Dravid and Alyssabeth?
From my own limited anecdotal evidence, the two guys I know with the weirdest first names gave their kids pretty boring middle-of-the-road names.

My daughter has the weird unique name of "Sutton Miikka". Sutton from a book my wife read and Miikka we just made up :P.
In my company's directory (international company) there are some unfortunate names, but not really as they are mostly in Asia. The one we laugh at the most is Anil Joy.

Olekzander. The parents refer to him as Lekz... Another girl named her (unknown gender) child Bryxtyn. I hate some of the people I know.

This thread reminds me of a family I met at work a while back. Mom brought in her two daughters. Mom was named Chande. Her middle name was Lier. So: Chande Lier. (Her sister's name was Crystal. Her mom shouldn't have been allowed to breed.)
Her daughter's names were even worse, however. One daughter was Irre Sistible and the other was Heaven Leigh.
Like did you really want your daughters to be strippers? I'm not sure they're fit for anything else, with those names.

I've been around a lot of kids the past couple of days. Yesterday at Telus Spark I heard a mom talking to her daughter Lexus. I am fairly confident she'll be stripping one day.
Today I met a girl named Esme, which I love as it's a great classic name, but I was later told that Esme is also a character from Twilight, which diminished it a bit.

I tend to judge people named after cars, or colours.
Mercedes. Amber. Lexus. Jade.
