He's a third C at best. And at the time people were shocked at the minimal return. Tough to get full value for a G, which is why Miller is still a Sabre

When do they announce the waiver wire?

I seem to remember that if players were put on waivers on weekends, it took until Monday. Not sure after the new CBA?

usually at noon ET ... so 40 minutes to go. Don't think it's until Monday

That's just mean. Hopefully Chicago is very tired from yesterday's game.

Eller scored at a 53pt pace last year and is on 50pt pace this year. That is a hell of a 3rd line C. He is only 24 right now and was a 13th overall pick. In all honesty when the trade was made it would be very similar to the flames moving Baertschi for a 25 year old goalie today. The trade is also similar value that the Canucks got for Schnieder. Completely disagree it was pennies on the dollar

Just being realistic.

I am hoping the Berra that shows up the day after a loss is the one who comes out. Chicago won't know what hits them then.

Meh...the NHL is a hard league...and its not like the Flames have been a shooting gallery for their goaltenders, its more that they simply cant stop the shots they are seeing regardless of how many there are.

Im looking forward to seeing the mystery man from Bulach...baptism by fire or not.

Why would you make Berra start against Chicago... people are going to write him off after one game.

Leland Irving wasn't given much of a chance after that horrendous shelling in Boston, which was hardly his fault.

Pat Steinberg ‏@Fan960Steinberg
Sounds like Joey MacDonald has cleared waivers. Assignment to Abbotsford coming? #Flames

would prefer if they found him another home in the AHL. Otherwise, I guess it's back to Alaska for Brossoit.

No surprise he cleared. Can we send him to Alaska? Or Guam?

I believe Alaska is only an option if the player agrees to go to the ECHL ... otherwise you can just assign players on ELCs to the ECHL without the player's permission. I doubt he wants to go there.

Really thought Pitt would pick him up. That shut out last night by Zatkoff might have saved him.

Not that i have anything against Mac but i wanted him out of the organization so Ramo, Berra and Ortio could get max playing time.

At least Joey will give the heat a chance to win. *being serious. I think he's a good AHLer and if he can help the heat go on an extended run, that will be great

He's one injury away at either level to being helpful so this will probably work out in the end.
