- has all the apps I need (same as apple, really)
The only thing that REALLY sucks (maybe you guys can help) is that I can't bring my music over from itunes. Apparently Music manager isn't available in Canada yet? This is a little annoying. I like having one device to cover everything, and this means I have to haul an ipod around

-Launchers like Nova have notification counts or a custom ROM. Maybe there is an app but not sure.
-Try LightFlow for customized light notifications. Although I was under the impression Google had integrated customized lights?
-Upload your itunes library to Google music, it's what I did and never looked back. (assuming it is on a folder somewhere) There are apps that sync but I would need to search a bit as it has been awhile since I used one.

The stock android ROM doesn't have integrated light settings, but the hardware does have a multi-color LED. Light Flow (and other similar apps) are the way to go for this. Really easy to set up.

For badges, there might be widgets that can do it. Did a quick search and saw this one.

Not sure if it works with hangouts, now that hangouts is the stock SMS app.
Found this guide also for a bunch of the badges

For LED help, I'm using Light Manager. It's completely free and works great. Lightflow might be more configurable, but you have to pay for the pro version in order to use it for most third party apps.
Using BatteryBot to display the battery left percentage as a persistent message in the left hand corner since you cannot configure the battery to display percentage in the default KitKat system.

I have a Nexus 4 and the old wireless charger, and it's great, I love it.

Yup, missed out on it. Apparently the website was pretty buggy during the promo so I e-mailed them and asked if they could extend the promo or something. We'll see what happens. Shipping is still ridiculous at 30$ though.

Regarding Tylt : if you live in the Red Deer area, The Phone Experts (one of my customers - Telus dealer) has ordered Lightning and MicroUSB car chargers.
They have ordered the ribbon car chargers. Not the "Y" chargers. They ordered black, green, blue and red.
I have no idea which stores will be getting them. They have 4 stores in Red Deer: Bower Place, Gaetz Avenue, Parkland Mall and Taylor Drive.

No response from my e-mail to Tylt. Will have to wait until I hear of another 50% off sale or something cause I'd like to get one but just can't justify the cost with shipping and everything. If I hear of anything will let you all know.

just thought I'd give you guys a heads up. If you're with Fido and looking to upgrade your phone through them, they dropped the price on the nexus 5 16gb to $100 from $200. with my fido $$ it would make it $15 for me. only downside is, you have to sign a 2 yr term. deal is good till the 16th

FYI, 4.4.2 is out. Minor update (1.7 megs).
If you're rooted with custom recovery and want to install yourself:

Anyone else having wifi connection issues in certain locations. I've been fine at home, airport, Chapters, Starbucks, etc, but cannot connect with the wifi network at my workplace - which is the place I need it most as data reception has plenty of deadzones there. It wasn't an issue with my Nexus 4.
