I have yet to have the ability to send tickets. Even my rep tried and it wouldn't work. So I had to have them print off tickets and waiting at the dome for me.
Thumbs down so far. Want phone tickets ASAP!

So if someone is selling "hard copy" tickets then it is a scam?

No, they could have asked for their seats to be printed out hard copy.

This is very lazy on the Flames part. This removes many small requests from customer service, but I think it really creates more problems. For example, I am so GD paperless, I don't even own a home printer.
Sending a ticket or tickets to a guest you are calling them into action and they have absolutely zero investment into the ticket, if a snowstorm, if they can't figure out how to print, forget to print, procrastinate, and then forget there is even a game because the ticket isn't printed out and on the fridge, the game gets wasted, or who knows if the guest will even use the ticket, not too far fetched with this Flames team on the ice.
I read somewhere that paperless 'money' ie, gift cards were HUGE as far as unused cards, unused money, out of sight and out of mind, lost in electronic limbo, etc. This is a tactic used by corporations to take advantage of the busy common man, who forgot he still had 45 bucks on that Home Depot gift card, 45 bucks to the air.
This is something very similar, fact remains that tickets are currency, sometimes worth lots, sometimes worth zero. The ticket agent handed me my book at the Rangers game telling me how easy it is to use the 'card', yet she didn't realize I did not have a guest and would need the printed ticket pair for tonight's game to trade with the gentleman on the bridge for the Club single. Otherwise I would of just sat in my seat and eaten the empty seat beside me.... no thanks.
Basically it means the Flames have created a full time/part time ticket distribution agent with each 'season ticket holder', and the pay is absolute crap. I work on a computer all day and the last thing i want to do is log onto MYflames account and email off game tickets, that is not convenience, its work, i have better things to do with my time, send me the book and i will hand out the tickets personally... never failed me before.

There is a real irony instating you are "so GD paperless, I don't even own a printer", then whining because the Flames are going paperless.
The non sequitir about gift cards is also silly, since no, they are not the similar. An unused gift card is free money for the vendor. An unused ticket is lost revenue for the Flames.

Well I'm not 100% sure on the math, but I'm pretty sure an empty seat drinks slightly less beer than a full one.

Well I am also not 100% sure on the math but I am sure someone with a $20 gift card doesn't spend exactly $20.

Try to comprehend this in the context it was written, Puckluck...
As TBQH noted, gift cards go notoriously unused. Which means that when someone pays $ for a gift card that never gets spent, the vendor/store literally gets revenue for nothing.
And as BBS notes, an unused ticket doesn't buy food, drink, merchandise, parking, etc. The team still gets the revenue on the ticket sale, of course, but the revenue potential is reduced.

30 seconds to print tickets from your desk.

Yes, but the point is, many gift cards don't get used fully, so people pay the store more than the store pays out, so it's to the store's advantage. Stores want people to buy a lot of gift cards, but don't want them to use them.
Paperless tickets are the opposite, the Flames want every ticket sold, and also want every sold ticket to be used, so equating one to the other makes zero sense.

I don't understand all the whining and finger pointing at the Flames. This is obviously a Ticket Master decision since other teams in other North American leagues have adopted the same paperless tickets. It's all about maximizing revenues for the teams and Ticket Master by trying to get a piece of the secondary market.

Is anyone else having issues only being able to send tickets for the Oct-Jan 16th games?
It won't give me the option to send any games past Jan 16th.

I just checked and have no issues. Just clicked on the month pull-down on the manage games calendar and could modify games right to the end of the season.

Do you pay monthly? I do and have the same issue, it says I have outstanding invoices and I am unable to do anything for a month or so.

If you email your account manager they do something behind the scenes that fixes it and allows you to manage the entire season.

I called my ticket rep and she changed it. It took a few minutes, but was allowed due to my payment history.
Definitely a disadvantage when distributing to the people I share with, not a big deal, but 15 minutes on the phone I didn't have before. (Historically, I just gave them the paper tickets at the beginning of the year)
