No, neither are Monahan or Poirier because they are all 1994 births.

Klimchuk, Kanzig, and Rafikov are the only Flames picks currently who will be eligible to play in next year's World Jrs.

Speaking of Rafikov, is there any word on his likelihood of making the Russian team this year?

Janko, Gauthier and Poirier dominating in the Swedish end.. using size and crashing the net...

Gauthier intercepts a pass and scores 5-3... unassisted

You'd have to think it'll be either him or Barber since they're the only skaters returning from last year's team. He gets a lot of praise for his leadership, so it wouldn't be a surprise.

Domi getting kicked out for standing up for McDavid. 2mins for cross checking 2 mins for roughing and 10 min game misconduct

Burakowsky was able to skate in while Domi was chasing down a Swedish player

Jankowski getting a rare PK shift..

Poirier also gets a rare PK shift and shows off his speed going in for a shorthanded chance also draws a penalty

3rd period over

Janko Gauthier and Poirier line had a few shifts where they just dominated in the Swedish end

Monahan went 9 for 15 in the FO circle by my count had 3 SOG and 1 post

Poirier had 3 SOG on the 3rd and FINALLY got to show off his speed on the PK... maybe Sutter will let hi do that more often now that he has seen the jets on the kid
