"I didn’t have conversations about it, but Zack, that was part of his idea," Brolin told The Huffington Post. "It just didn’t turn out. It’s OK. It is OK. You know, another scenario might have worked better, but I’m happy for Ben."
“I’ve never seen such a global reaction in my life,” Brolin continued. “I feel for him, truly. I would not want to be him right now. The reaction becomes so personal,” Brolin said. “It’s like, ‘#### this guy, I wish he was dead.’ And you’re like, ‘What? Dude, seriously? This guy is just working like you are. He’s doing the same thing you are. He’s trying to make the best choices he can. [...] I just feel for anybody who gets lambasted at that level. I want him to kick ass and I want everyone to love it and kind of eat their words.’”

As someone who couldn't stand Afleck's movies I've really enjoyed his last few roles. With that said, I still don't see him playing a good Batman. However, I remember saying the same thing when Ledger was cast as the Joker and when Craig became the new Bond. Who knows, maybe it'll be good.
He might be good, but will he be Josh Brolin good?!?
Was Affleck ever a ####ing goonie? Huh?
There are few actors I think of when Batman comes up, but Brolin is definitely one of them. Too bad.

Kevin Smith is really excited about Affleck being cast as Batman. His might not be the most objective opinion given that him and Affleck are friends but I did like this:
Quote:
Speaking on the Hollywood Babble-On podcast, Smith said that Affleck would "honour the character...this dude has loved Batman going back as far as I can remember."
He explained that Ben had built a Batcave on his property. He brings me into the room and goes, ‘Look at this.’ There’s an office room and this beautiful bookcase – he reached under and he clicked something and all of a sudden the bookcase opened,” Smith said. “I was like, ‘No! You built a f***ing Batcave?’ And he was like, ‘No I built a Batcave entrance!’ When you went in behind the bookcase, it was a panic room.”
Good to hear he's passionate about Batman. Bodes well for his portrayal of the character IMO. If anyone is interested the above all comes from episode 137 of Hollywood Babble-On.

I get the distinct impression that that panic room is going to be seeing a lot of use...

The only thing that pisses me off about even the suggestion of Beiber is that it's obvious the studio is just going for name recognition. There has to be 1000's of young actors able to pull off Robin, but no, we're going to hire a singer/dancer that everyone over 15 hates.
Wonder Woman in the new Batman vs. Superman film? It isn't out of the question..

When it comes to highly scrutinized blockbusters like this, silence tends to breed rumors, and one of the fastest-spreading ones is whether other heroes like Wonder Woman will show up in the 2015 release.
Quote:
When asked whether that meant Wonder Woman would get her own movie or appear in this one, he responded vaguely. “We are taking it all very seriously and are trying to do a plan that’s respectful to those characters and maximizes the stories as best they can,” said Silverman, the studio’s president of creative development and worldwide production. “So everything that has been speculated are things that we’ve thought about.”
Also here is some footage from the film spoilered for those who don't want to see it. Nothing mind blowing but for the hard core fans, shows a football game between Gotham and Metropolis.
Spoiler!

So is this movie going to take the Dark Knight series as canon or ignore them completely? Because the Gotham football team pretty much all died in the last movie
